In Vow of Thieves Kazi and Jase are completely devoted to each other, giving us an unfiltered view of their true personalities they are both so protective, loyal, and smart and it was amazing that we get to see both of them shine in this novel. In Dance of Thieves they are both so busy keeping secrets from each other that it’s hard to know when and if we can trust either of them. It’s a whirlwind of information but so well written that you crave more! Plus, the dual POVs give us the chance to find out what’s going on during the weeks that Kazi and Jase are separated, not even sure if the other is still alive. I love the surprises that come from this storytelling style, especially in the Kazi and Jase flashbacks. There are so many moments where this story could have become convoluted or plot lines dropped, but Pearson excels at weaving this tale. We‘re given flashbacks to conversations between Kazi and Jase that slowly show us what their weeks together were like, dual POVs to keep us updated in the present, as well as historical moments from the first Ballinger family. Pearson has done such an amazing job crafting this story.
